Liam Pope-Lau, a 2024 National Youth Climate Activism Award recipient, recently shared an update about what the NYCAA community has meant to him.

In 2026 Liam continues to be inspired by the diversity of climate initiatives led by youth across Canada and values being connected to a growing network of young change-makers working toward environmental solutions in their own communities.

“Hello, my name is Liam, and I was honoured to be a recipient of the 2024 National Youth Climate Activism Award.

I feel incredibly grateful to be working alongside such a dedicated group of change-makers. Being part of this community is a reminder that we are part of a larger collective taking action.
