“Hello, my name is Quinn, and I was honoured to be a recipient of the National Youth Climate Activism Award last year (2025).
It’s been incredible to be part of NYCAA and to connect with a network of amazing young climate activists from across the country. We’re at a moment in the world when it can sometimes feel challenging to find hope, which is why communities like NYCAA are so important.
Being part of this community is a reminder that you’re not alone. Even if our paths never cross in person, we know that climate action is happening in communities everywhere.
NYCAA has helped me understand the power of the ripple effect. When each of us works to create change in our own communities—whether through direct action, inspiring our peers, or advocating for change with decision makers—it becomes clear that together we are much more powerful than we might even realize.”
