“Hi, my name is Claire Lee, and I’m a recipient of the 2025 National Youth Climate Activism Award.

Being part of NYCAA has been incredibly eye-opening for me. One of the best parts has been seeing youth all across Canada taking initiative and creating change in their communities.

Knowing that there is an entire wave of young leaders working toward real impact inspires me to continue my work and reminds me that I am not alone.

Seeing the work of other alumni motivates me to keep pushing forward to create change. I’m extremely proud to be part of this community, and I hope that other young people step forward and take action.”
